Rice Field Ubinan Survey Subround III of 2024

On Wednesday and Thursday (September 11-12), Statistics Indonesia of Berau Regency conducted a rice field ubinan (sample plot) in Semurut Village and Buyung-Buyung Village, Tabalar Subdistrict.

The process began with selecting the sample plot using the FASIH application, followed by land measurement using footsteps. The results were then input into the application, which generated the sample coordinates for harvesting. The selected sample area was 2.5 x 2.5 meters. After harvesting, the number of clumps was counted and entered into the application. The harvested rice was then threshed and weighed. The results were compared to the productivity of the previous subround. The highest yield recorded during this ubinan was 2.7 kilograms.

Through this Ubinan Survey, Statistics Indonesia not only collected statistical data on harvest yields but also gathered insights into the current challenges faced by farmers in dealing with unpredictable environmental conditions.
