Abstract

Kalimantan Timur in January 2008 experienced inflation of 1.87 percent, or there was an Increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 160.58 in December 2007 to 163.59 in January 2008. With this inflation rate, the inflation rate ' year on year '(January 2008 to January 2007) reached 8.74 percent.

Samarinda City experienced inflation of 2.51 percent and Balikpapan City experienced inflation of 1.13 percent. Thus for these two cities the year on year (January 2008-January 2007) rate was 9.82 and 7.48 percent, respectively.
