Abstract

The export value of East Kalimantan in January 2012 reached US$ 2.78 billion, a decrease of 18.48 percent compared to the export value in December 2011. The value of oil and gas exports in January 2012 reached US$ 1.20 billion, down 23.44 percent compared to the oil and gas export value in December 2011, while the value of non-oil and gas exports in January 2012 reached US$ 1.58 billion, down 14.23 percent compared to the non-oil and gas export value in December 2011.
According to the Commodity Group (HS 2 Digit), mineral fuels still played a very significant role in the formation of East Kalimantan's exports in January 2012, accounting for 92.56 percent or US$ 2.57 billion.
By country of destination, exports to Japan in January 2012 reached the highest amount, namely US$ 0.96 billion, followed by South Korea with US$ 0.47 billion and Taiwan with US$ 0.32 billion, with the three contributing a total of 63.01 percent.
