Abstract

The export value of East Kalimantan in March 2012 reached US$ 3.17 billion, an increase of 18.44 percent compared to the export value in February 2012. The value of oil and gas exports in March 2012 reached US$ 1.44 billion, up 8.42 percent compared to the oil and gas export value in February 2012, while the value of non-oil and gas exports in March 2012 reached US$ 1.73 billion, up 28.36 percent compared to the non-oil and gas export value in February 2012.
According to the Commodity Group (HS 2 Digit), mineral fuels continued to play a very significant role in the formation of East Kalimantan's exports from January to March 2012, accounting for 94.64 percent or US$ 8.16 billion.
By country of destination, exports to Japan from January to March 2012 reached the highest amount, namely US$ 2.72 billion, followed by China (including Taiwan) with US$ 2.06 billion and South Korea with US$ 1.58 billion, with the three contributing a total of 73.89 percent.
