Abstract

Kalimantan Timur in May 2014 experienced inflation of 0.23 percent, or there was a change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 113.72 in April 2014 to 113.98 in May 2014. So that until May 2014 Inflation in the calendar year amounted to 1.81 percent and year on year inflation of 8.36 percent.

When broken down by city, in May 2014 Samarinda City experienced an inflation of 0.15 percent, Balikpapan City experienced an inflation of 0.32 percent and the City of Tarakan experienced an inflation of 0.25 percent. As of May 2014, Samarinda City calendar year inflation was 1.38 percent, Balikpapan City was 2.16 percent and Tarakan City was 2.47 percent. Year on year inflation in Samarinda City reached 8.76 percent, Balikpapan City 7.66 percent and Tarakan City 8.86 percent.
