Abstract

The value of Kalimantan Timur exports in October 2014 reached US $ 1.94 billion or decreased by 12.36 percent compared to exports in September 2014. Meanwhile, when compared to October 2013 it decreased by 18.92 percent.
October 2014 oil and gas exports reached US $ 0.86 billion, down 10.98 percent compared to September 2014, while October 2014 non-oil and gas exports reached US $ 1.08 billion, down 13.43 percent compared to September 2014.
Cumulatively, the value of Kalimantan Timur exports in January-October 2014 reached US $ 21.78 billion, down 15.24 percent compared to the same period in 2013. Likewise, oil and gas exports reached US $ 9.35 billion or decreased by 12.38 percent and non-oil and gas reached US $ 12.43 billion, down 17.26 percent
The value of Kalimantan Timur imports in October 2014 reached US $ 0.77 billion, an increase of 17.46 percent compared to September 2014 imports. Meanwhile, compared to October 2013 it increased by 8.95 percent.
October 2014 oil and gas imports reached US $ 0.62 billion, up 27.21 percent compared to September 2014, while October 2014 non oil and gas imports reached US $ 0.14 billion, down 12.08 percent compared to September 2014.
Cumulatively, the value of Kalimantan Timur imports in January-October 2014 reached US $ 7.30 billion, down 10.98 percent compared to the same period in 2013 as well as oil and gas imports reaching US $ 5.94 billion or decreased 4.35 percent and non-oil and gas reached US $ 1.35 billion, down 31.76 percent.
East Kalimantan's trade balance in October 2014 had a surplus of US$ 1.17 billion, which is smaller compared to the surplus in September 2014 of US$ 1.56 billion. Consequently, the cumulative surplus from January to October 2014 was US$ 14.48 billion.
