Abstract

A. EXPORT

The export value of Kalimantan Timur in August 2015 reached US $ 1.43 billion or decreased by 3.31 percent compared to July 2015. Meanwhile, compared to August 2014, it decreased by 27.21 percent.
Oil and gas exports in August 2015 reached US $ 0.49 billion, down 17.92 percent compared to July 2015, while non-oil and gas exports in August 2015 reached US $ 0.94 billion, up 6.61 percent compared to July 2015.
The cumulative export value of Kalimantan Timur in January-August 2015 reached US $ 12.15 billion or decreased 28.00 percent compared to the same period in 2014. Of all exports in January-August 2015, oil and gas exports reached US $ 4.45 billion or decreased 40.86 percent and non oil and gas reached US $ 7.70 billion or decreased 17.66 percent.

B. IMPORT

The import value of Kalimantan Timur in August 2015 reached US $ 0.41 billion or decreased by 25.46 percent compared to July 2015 import. Meanwhile, compared to August 2014, it decreased by 39.03 percent.
August 2015 oil and gas imports reached US $ 0.26 billion, down 43.73 percent compared to July 2015, while non-oil imports in August 2015 reached US $ 0.15 billion, up 66.88 percent compared to July 2015.
The cumulative value of Kalimantan Timur imports from January to August 2015 reached US $ 3.67 billion or decreased 36.17 percent over the same period in 2014. Of all imports in the period January-August 2015, oil and gas imports reached US $ 2.81 billion or decreased 40.70 percent and non oil and gas reached US $ 0.85 billion or decreased 14.78 percent.
Kalimantan Timur's trade balance in August 2015 was a surplus of US $ 1.02 billion, higher than the July 2015 surplus of US $ 0.93 billion, thus the cumulative January-August 2015 surplus of US $ 8.48 billion.
