Abstract

Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of East Kalimantan Province in 2015, based on current prices, reached Rp 564.7 trillion, and based on constant 2010 prices, it reached Rp 488.9 trillion.
The economic performance of East Kalimantan Province in 2015 was corrected by -0.85 percent. From the production side, this was influenced by a decline in the performance of the Mining and Quarrying sector, which was corrected by -4.69 percent, and the construction sector, which grew by -0.56 percent. From the expenditure side, the decline was due to the decreased performance of the foreign export component and government consumption, which were corrected by -13.32 percent and -11.32 percent, respectively.
Economic growth of East Kalimantan Province in the fourth quarter of 2015, on a year-on-year (y-on-y) basis, was corrected by -0.55 percent. However, on a quarter-to-quarter (q-to-q) basis, the economy of East Kalimantan still grew by 2.59 percent in that quarter.
