Exports and Imports of Kalimantan Timur Province in May 2016

The export value of Kalimantan Timur in May 2016 reached US $ 1.09 billion or an increase of 4.87 percent compared to April 2016. Meanwhile, compared to May 2015, it decreased by 22.39 percent.

Oil and gas exports in May 2016 reached US $ 0.31 billion, up 8.65 percent compared to April 2016, while non-oil exports in May 2016 reached US $ 0.78 billion, up 3.42 percent compared to April 2016.

The cumulative export value of Kalimantan Timur in January, May 2016 reached US $ 5.46 billion or decreased 31.22 percent over the same period in 2015. Of all exports from January to May 2016, oil and gas exports reached US $ 1.66 billion or decreased 43.38 percent and non oil and gas reached US $ 3.80 billion or decreased 24.07 percent.

The import value of Kalimantan Timur in May 2016 reached US $ 0.31 billion or decreased by 13.14 percent compared to April 2016. Meanwhile, compared to May 2015, it decreased 27.97 percent.

Oil and gas imports in May 2016 reached US $ 0.25 billion, up 16.22 percent compared to April 2016, while non-oil imports in May 2016 reached US $ 0.06 billion down 59.27 percent compared to April 2016.

The cumulative import value of Kalimantan Timur from January to May 2016 reached US $ 1.49 billion or decreased 32.67 percent compared to the same period in 2015. Of all imports from January to May 2016, oil and gas imports reached US $ 1.06 billion or decreased 37.86 percent and non oil and gas reached US $ 0.43 billion or decreased 15.25 percent.

The Kalimantan Timur trade balance in May 2016 was a surplus of US $ 0.78 billion, higher than the April 2016 surplus of US $ 0.68 billion, thus the January-May 2016 cumulative surplus of US $ 3.97 billion.
