Exports and Imports of Kalimantan Timur Province in August 2016

The export value of Kalimantan Timur in August 2016 reached US $ 1.10 billion or an increase of 2.56 percent compared to July 2016 exports. Meanwhile, compared to August 2015, it decreased by 22.66 percent.

Oil and gas exports in August 2016 reached US $ 0.28 billion, down 3.68 percent compared to July 2016, while non-oil and gas exports in August 2016 reached US $ 0.82 billion, up 4.86 percent compared to July 2016.

The cumulative export value of Kalimantan Timur in January-August 2016 reached US $ 8.74 billion or decreased 28.47 percent compared to the same period in 2015. Of all exports in January-August 2016, oil and gas exports reached US $ 2.55 billion or decreased by 42 , 95 percent and non oil and gas reached US $ 6.19 billion or decreased 20.12 percent.

The import value of Kalimantan Timur in August 2016 reached US $ 0.48 billion or an increase of 80.16 percent compared to July 2016 import. Meanwhile, compared to August 2015, it increased by 18.93 percent.

Oil and gas imports in August 2016 reached US $ 0.36 billion, up 81.44 percent compared to July 2016, while non-oil imports in August 2016 reached US $ 0.12 billion, up by 76.37 percent compared to July 2016.

The cumulative value of Kalimantan Timur imports from January to August 2016 reached US $ 2.50 billion or decreased by 31.72 percent compared to the same period in 2015. Of all imports in JanuaryAgustus 2016, oil and gas imports reached US $ 1.79 billion or decreased by 36, 16 percent and non oil and gas reached US $ 0.71 billion or decreased 17.08 percent.

Kalimantan Timur's trade balance in August 2016 was a surplus of US $ 0.62 billion, less than the July 2016 surplus of US $ 0.81 billion, thus the January 2012 cumulative surplus of US $ 6.24 billion.
