Exports and Imports of Kalimantan Timur Province in February 2017

A. EXPORT

• Kalimantan Timur export value in February 2017 reached US $ 1.27 billion or decreased by 14.55 percent compared to exports in January 2017. Meanwhile, when compared to February 2016 increased by 19.30 percent.
• Oil and gas exports in February 2017 amounted to US $ 0.37 billion, up 6.57 percent compared to January 2017, while non-oil exports in February 2017 amounted to US $ 0.90 billion, down 21.07 percent compared to December 2016.
• The cumulative value of exports January – February of Kalimantan Timur in 2017 reached US $ 2.76 billion, an increase of 25.77 percent over the same period in 2016. Of the total exports in January-February 2017, oil and gas exports reached US $ 0.73 billion, an increase 3.11 percent and non-oil reached US $ 2.04 billion, an increase of 36.46 percent.

B. IMPORT

• Kalimantan Timur import value in February 2017 reached US $ 0.26 billion, or an increase of 19.16 percent compared to January 2017. While imports when compared to February 2016 increased by 3.32 percent.
• Oil imports in February 2017 reached US $ 0.19 billion, up 13.90 percent compared to January 2017, while non-oil imports in February 2017 reached US $ 0.06 billion, an increase of 37.88 percent compared to January 2017.
• The cumulative value of imports of Kalimantan Timur January-February 2017 reached US $ 0.47 billion, down 2.83 percent over the same period in 2016. Of the total imports in January-February 2017, oil imports reached US $ 0.36 billion, an increase 12.12 percent and non-oil reached US $ 0.11 billion, down 31.86 percent.
• Kalimantan Timur trade balance in February 2017 surplus of US $ 1.01 billion, is smaller than the surplus in January 2017 amounted to US $ 1.27 billion, thus the cumulative January-February 2017 surplus of US $ 2.29 billion.
