Economic Growth of Kalimantan Timur Province Second Quarter 2017

The economy of Kalimantan Timur in Quarter II-2017 measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB) at current prices reached Rp 145.41 trillion and at constant 2010 prices reached Rp 112.85 trillion.

Economic performance of Kalimantan Timur in Quarter II-2017 to Quarter II-2016 grew by 3.58 percent (y-on-y). In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by other services business sector by 11.44 percent. While in terms of expenditure is influenced by Net Export Inter-Region which grew by 19.23 percent.

Kalimantan Timur's economy in the second Quarter of 2017 was 0.04 percent (q-to-q), slower than the previous quarter which grew by 0.57 percent. This slowdown is due to the decreasing performance of dominant business field to Kalimantan Timur GRDP namely the Processing Industry field which is corrected by negative 2.02 percent; And the Mining and Quarrying Field which also corrected by negative 1.32 percent. In terms of expenditure is influenced by Foreign Exports component which experienced a negative correction of 3.73 percent.

Cumulatively, Kalimantan Timur's economic growth in Semester I-2017 compared to Semester I-2016 grew by 3.73 percent (c-to-c).
