Abstract

Kalimantan Timur Province (Samarinda Municipality and Balikpapan Municipality) in January 2018 occurred Inflation of 0.32 percent with calendar year inflation rate of 0.32 percent and Year-on-year Inflation rate of 2.41 percent.
In January 2018 there was Inflation 0.43 percent in Samarinda Municipality and Inflation 0.19 percent in Balikpapan Municipality.
Inflation in Kalimantan Timur was influenced by an increase in the food price index by 1.76 percent, clothing by 0.41 percent, health by 0.31 percent, food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.30 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group by 0.26 percent and education, recreation and sports group by 0.14 percent. While the transportation and communication group experienced a deflation of -1.04 percent.
