Abstract

Village Potential Data Collection (Podes) is carried out three (3) times in ten (10) years. Based on the results of the 2018 Kalimantan Timur Province Podes, there were 1,038 government administrative areas at the village level consisting of 841 villages and 197 villages. Podes also recorded 103 sub-districts and 10 districts / cities.

BPS calculates the Village Development Index (IPD) which shows the level of village development in the category of independent, developing and lagging. The higher the IPD, the more independent the village is. Number of independent villages 38 (4.52 percent), developing villages 683 (81.21 percent), and villages lagging behind 120 (14.27 percent)

In general, all dimensions of the composition of IPD in Kalimantan Timur have increased. The dimension with the highest increase is the Implementation of Village Government, which is equal to 7.27 points. The smallest increase is Transportation, which is equal to 0.99 points.
