Farmers' Terms of Trade (FTT) in March 2023 was 133.01, up 0.86 percent compared to the FTT in February 2023

Abstract

The increase in FTT was caused by the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) which increased by 0.99 percent, while the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) only increased by 0.13 percent.
March 2023 FTT for each sub-sector: Food Crop Farmers Terms of Trade (NTPP) of 94.71; Horticultural Farmers Terms of Trade (NTPH) of 111.64; The Smallholder Plantation Plantation Farmers Terms of Trade (NTPR) was 178.85; Livestock Farmer Terms of Trade (NTPT) of 108.42; and Fishermen and Fish Farmers Terms of Trade (NTNP) of 98.87.
In March 2023, there were four sub-sectors that experienced an increase in FTT, namely the food crops sub-sector (0.17 percent), the horticulture sub-sector (1.47 percent), the smallholder plantation crops sub-sector (1.30 percent), and the fisheries sub-sector (1.06 percent). ). Meanwhile, the livestock sub-sector experienced a decline (-1.00 percent).
The Agricultural Household Business Terms of Trade (NTUP) in March 2023 was 133.59, up 0.90 percent compared to the NTUP in February 2023 which was recorded at 132.40. There were four sub-sectors that experienced an increase in NTUP, namely the food crops sub-sector, the horticulture sub-sector, the smallholder plantation crops sub-sector, and the fisheries sub-sector. Meanwhile, the livestock sub-sector experienced a decline.
