Abstract

In June 2024, Berau Regency experienced a year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate of 3.67 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.52.
Year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation occurred due to price increases in several expenditure groups: food, beverages, and tobacco by 8.20 percent; clothing and footwear by 3.52 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuels by 0.28 percent; household equipment, appliances, and routine household maintenance by 1.09 percent; health by 24.65 percent; recreation, sports, and culture by 4.09 percent; education by 0.22 percent; food and beverage provision/restaurants by 1.42 percent; and personal care and other services by 5.73 percent. Meanwhile, the transportation group experienced a decline in the index by 0.88 percent, and the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.30 percent.
Month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Berau Regency in June 2024 were 0.04 percent and 2.94 percent, respectively.
