August 2024, Year-on-Year Inflation in Berau Regency is 2.64 percent

Abstract

In August 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Berau Regency was 2.64 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.69.
Year-on-year inflation occurred due to price increases in several expenditure group indices, namely: Food, beverages, and tobacco by 4.56 percent; Clothing and footwear by 3.16 percent; Household equipment, appliances, and routine maintenance by 2.36 percent; Health by 24.57 percent; Recreation, sports, and culture by 4.96 percent; Education by 1.57 percent; Food and beverage supply/restaurants by 1.40 percent; Personal care and other services by 3.83 percent.
Meanwhile, other groups experienced a decrease in their indices: Housing, water, electricity, and household fuels by 0.04 percent; Transportation by 0.49 percent; Information, communication, and financial services by 0.23 percent.
The month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate and year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Berau Regency in August 2024 were 0.07 percent and 2.14 percent, respectively.
