January 2025 Year-on-Year (y-on-y) Inflation in Berau Regency Reaches 0.28 Percent

Abstract

In January 2025, the year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate in Berau Regency was recorded at 0.28 percent, with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) reaching 105.94.
Y-on-Y inflation occurred due to price increases reflected in the rising indices of several expenditure groups, including: food, beverages, and tobacco (4.99 percent); clothing and footwear (2.53 percent); household equipment, appliances, and routine maintenance (1.75 percent); health (0.58 percent); transportation (0.32 percent); recreation, sports, and culture (1.89 percent); education (1.68 percent); food and beverage providers/restaurants (2.25 percent); and personal care and other services (3.88 percent). Meanwhile, the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group experienced a decline of 11.03 percent, as did the information, communication, and financial services group, which fell by 0.47 percent.
Month-to-month (m-to-m) and year-to-date (y-to-d) deflation rates in Berau Regency for January 2025 were both recorded at 1.23 percent.
