Economic Growth of Berau Regency by Industry in 2024

Abstract

The economy of Berau Regency in 2024, as measured by the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices (ADHB), reached Rp50.82 trillion, while at constant 2010 prices (ADHK), it stood at Rp33.87 trillion, with a GRDP per capita of Rp194.08 million.
The economy of Berau Regency grew by 7.28 percent in 2024, accelerating compared to the 5.44 percent growth recorded in 2023.
All 17 economic sectors in Berau Regency experienced positive growth in 2024. The highest growth was recorded in the Public Administration, Defense, and Mandatory Social Security sector, which expanded by 24.36 percent.
In terms of economic structure, the economy of Berau Regency in 2024 was still dominated by the mining and quarrying sector, followed by agriculture, forestry, and fisheries, as well as wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles.
Positive economic growth in 2024 was observed across all regencies and cities in Kalimantan Timur Province. However, Berau Regency contributed only 5.93 percent to the total regional economy of Kalimantan Timur.
