Abstract

Based on the results of monitoring by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in March 2006, Kalimantan Timur experienced inflation of 0.58 percent, or an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 141.74 in February 2006 to 142.55 in March 2006. With this inflation rate, the inflation rate of Kalimantan Timur in 2006 (March 2006 to December 2005) reached 1.95 percent, while the 'year on year' inflation rate (March 2006 to March 2005) reached 15.11 percent.
