Abstract

Kalimantan Timur experienced an inflation of 0.11 percent in November, or an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 158.81 in October 2007 to 158.98 in November 2007. With this inflation rate, the inflation rate for calendar year 2007 (January-November 2007) Kalimantan Timur reached 7.22 percent and the 'year on year' inflation rate (November 2007 to November 2006) reached 7.61 percent.

Kota Samarinda experienced inflation of 0.16 percent and Balikpapan City experienced inflation of 0.04 percent. Thus for these two cities the inflation rate for calendar year 2007 (January-November) has reached 8.37 and 5.88 percent, respectively. While the inflation rate year on year (November 2006-November 2007) reached 8.65 and 6.41 percent, respectively
