Abstract

Kalimantan Timur experienced an inflation of 0.28 percent in February 2012, or an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 140.98 in January 2011 to 141.38 in February 2012. So that until February 2012 inflation in calendar year 2012 reached 1.87 percent, while Kalimantan Timur year-on-year inflation reached 5.82 percent.
If broken down by city, in February 201 2 Samarinda, Balikpapan and Tarakan experienced inflation of 0.40 percent, -0.09 percent and 0.92 percent, respectively. So that calendar year inflation has reached 1.74 percent, 1.85 percent and 2.38 percent, while year on year inflation for each city is Samarinda has reached 5.47 percent; Balikpapan 6.24 percent; and Tarakan 5.81 percent.
