Abstract

The economy of Kalimantan Timur based on the amount of GRDP based on current prices in Quarter III / 2012 reached Rp 105.6 trillion (with oil and gas) or Rp 69.7 trillion (without oil and gas). Whereas PDRB based on constant 2000 prices reached Rp. 29.8 trillion (with oil and gas) or Rp. 21.1 trillion (without oil and gas).

The economy of Kalimantan Timur in Quarter III / 2012 compared to Quarter II / 2012 (q-to-q) experienced a contraction of minus 0.59 percent, lower than the previous quarter which reached positive 0.33 percent. While growth in the third quarter of 2012 compared to the same quarter of the previous year (y-on-y) reached a positive 2.87 percent, but not as fast as the growth in the third quarter of 2011 which was positive at 4.34 percent.
