Abstract

  • Kalimantan Timur Provincial Economy First Quarter of 2018 measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB) at current prices reached Rp 155.41 trillion and at constant 2010 prices reached Rp 114.82 trillion.
  • Kalimantan Timur's economy in the first quarter of 2018 grew by 1.77 percent compared to the same quarter of the previous year (First Quarter of 2017) (y-on-y). In terms of production, y-on-y's highest growth was achieved by the Electricity and Gas Procurement Field which grew by 12.38 percent. From the expenditure side, the highest growth occurred in the inter-regional Net Export component by 30.02 percent.
  • Compared to the previous quarter, economic performance of Kalimantan Timur in the first Quarter of 2018 grew by 0.66 percent (q-to-q), slightly slower than the previous quarter. In terms of production, this is due to several Businesses experiencing contraction in the First Quarter of 2018, such as Government Administration Business Field, Defense and Social Security Mandatory; Construction; Water Supply, Waste Management, Waste and Recycling; and Information and Communication. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth occurred in the components of Net Export between regions amounted to 32.82 percent.
