During December 2018, inflation was 0.54 percent in Kalimantan Timur

Abstract

Out of 82 cities national CPI monitoring, December 2018 which is 80 cities experiencing inflation and 2 other cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurs in Kota Kupang amounted to 2.09 percent and the lowest occurred in the city of Banda Aceh by 0.02 percent. While the highest deflation occurred in Sorong City as much as -0.15 percent and the lowest in Kendari City which is equal to -0.09 percent.

Kalimantan Timur Province (Combined Samarinda Municipality and Balikpapan Municipality inflation in December 2018 amounted to 0.54 percent with the calendar year inflation rate and level Year-on-year inflation is 3.24 percent.

In December 2018 there was a 0.30 percent inflation in the Samarinda Municipality and inflation of 0.86 percent in Balikpapan Municipality.

inflation in East Kalimantan was influenced by increases price index in the transportation and communication group 1.84 percent followed by foodstuffs by 0.71 percent, the health group by 0.64 percent then the group of processed foods, drinks, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.17 percent and housing groups, water, electricity, gas and fuel and their respective clothing groups by 0.05 percent. Whereas for groups education, recreation and sports experience a deflation of as big as-0.06 percent.
