Abstract

The number of poor people in September 2021 was 233.13 thousand people, a decrease of 8.64 thousand people from March 2021 and a decrease of 10.86 thousand people from September 2020.
The percentage of the urban poor in September 2021 was 4.74 percent, down from 5.01 percent in March 2021. Meanwhile, the percentage of the rural poor in September 2021 was 9.63 percent, down from 9.87 percent in March 2021.
Compared to March 2021, the number of urban poor in September 2021 decreased by 6.0 thousand people (from 127.28 thousand people in March 2021 to 121.28 thousand people in September 2021). Meanwhile, in the same period the number of rural poor people decreased by 2.63 thousand people (from 114.48 thousand people in March 2021 to 111.85 thousand people in September 2021).
The Poverty Line in September 2021 was recorded at IDR 703,223/capita/month with the composition of the Food Poverty Line of IDR 495,785 (70.50 percent) and the Non-Food Poverty Line of IDR 207,438 (29.50 percent) .
In September 2021, on average, poor households in Indonesia had 4.82 household members. Thus, the average size of the Poverty Line per poor household is IDR 3,389,535/poor household/month.
