Abstract

The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for star-class hotels in Kalimantan Timur in April 2023 was recorded at 53.62 percent, down 3.82 points compared to the previous month. When compared to the April 2022 TPK, the April 2023 TPK has increased by 2.32 points.
The average length of stay for star-class hotel guests in April 2023 was 1.71 days. The average length of stay for foreign guests is 2.59 days, while the average length of stay for domestic guests is 1.70 days.
During April 2023 there were 324 visits by foreign tourists to Kalimantan Timur. When compared to the previous month, the number of foreign tourist visits in April 2023 increased by 0.62 percent.
The number of domestic air transport passengers departing in April 2023 was 243,135 people, an increase of 22.75 percent compared to March 2023. Meanwhile, the number of passengers for overseas (international) destinations was 2,589 people, an increase of 12.61 percent compared to the previous month. During January-April 2023, the number of domestic passengers was 821,281 people, an increase of 37.00 percent. Meanwhile, the number of international passengers was 7,291 people.
The number of domestic sea transport passengers departing in April 2023 was recorded as 54,597 people, an increase of 115.68 percent compared to March 2023. The number of goods transported decreased 12.31 percent to 5,381.70 thousand tons. During January-April 2023, the number of passengers reached 141,333 people, an increase of 24.56 percent compared to the same period in 2022, while the number of goods transported increased 5.65 percent or reached 23,496.25 thousand tons.

In November 2022, the ROR for star hotels was recorded at 66.51 percent. The number of domestic air transport passengers rose 3.58 percent. The number of sea transport passengers fell by 30.70 percent
