Abstract

In March 2024, the expenditure inequality rate in Kalimantan Timur, as measured by the Gini Ratio, was 0.321. This figure was decreased 0.001 points when compared to the Gini Ratio in March 2023 which was 0.322.
The Gini Ratio in urban areas in March 2024 was recorded at 0.325, was decreased compared to the Gini Ratio in March 2023 which was 0.328.
The Gini Ratio in rural areas in March 2024 was recorded at 0.289, was decreased compared to the Gini Ratio in March 2023 Gini Ratio of 0.292.
Based on the World Bank's measure of inequality, the distribution of spending among the bottom 40 percent of the population in March 2024 was 21.24 percent. If divided by region, in urban areas the figure was recorded at 21.16 and for rural areas, the figure was recorded at 22.46 percent, which means it belongs to the low inequality category.
