July 2024 Year-on-Year Inflation in Berau Regency: 2.58%

Abstract

In July 2024, Berau Regency experienced a year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate of 2.58%, with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) standing at 106.76.
Year-on-year inflation occurred due to the rise in prices indicated by the increase in several expenditure group indices: Food, beverages, and tobacco: 4.51%; Clothing and footwear: 3.17%; Housing, water, electricity, and household fuel: 0.08%; Household equipment, appliances, and routine maintenance: 2.32%; Health: 24.88%; Recreation, sports, and culture: 3.56%; Education: 0.45%; Food and beverage services/restaurants: 1.40%; Personal care and other services: 5.30%. Conversely, the transportation group index decreased by 1.11%, and the information, communication, and financial services group index dropped by 0.43%.
The month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Berau Regency in July 2024 were 0.71% and 2.21%, respectively.
