Abstract

In September 2024, the year on year (y-on-y) inflation rate in Berau Regency was 3.34 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.67.
The y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases indicated by the rise in several expenditure group indices, namely Food, beverages, and tobacco group: 6.91 percent; Clothing and footwear group: 3.33 percent; Housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group: 0.56 percent; Household equipment, appliances, and routine household maintenance group: 2.44 percent; Health group: 24.41 percent; Recreation, sports, and culture group: 4.45 percent; Education group: 1.68 percent; Food and beverage provision/restaurant group: 1.32 percent; Personal care and other services group: 3.95 percent. On the other hand, the transportation group experienced a decrease in the index by 0.91 percent, and the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.13 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate in Berau Regency for September 2024 were 0.02 percent and 2.13 percent, respectively.
