Abstract

In November 2024, Berau Regency experienced a year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate of 3.14 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.08.
The y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases reflected in the rising indices of several expenditure groups, including:Food, beverages, and tobacco: 6.37 percent; Clothing and footwear: 3.12 percent; Housing, water, electricity, and household fuel: 0.86 percent; Household equipment, appliances, and routine maintenance: 1.51 percent; Health: 24.21 percent; Recreation, sports, and culture: 3.88 percent; Education: 1.68 percent; Food and beverage provision/restaurants: 2.24 percent; Personal care and other services: 3.48 percent. On the other hand, the transportation group experienced a decline in its index by 1.35 percent, while the information, communication, and financial services group decreased by 0.41 percent.
The month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate and year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate in November 2024 were recorded at 0.22 percent and 2.52 percent, respectively.
