December 2024 Year-on-Year (y-on-y) Inflation in Berau Regency Reaches 2.69 Percent

Abstract

In December 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Berau Regency was recorded at 2.69 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.26.
The y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases reflected in the rise of several expenditure group indices, namely: Food, beverages, and tobacco: 4.99 percent; Clothing and footwear: 2.97 percent; Housing, water, electricity, and household fuel: 0.80 percent; Household equipment, appliances, and routine maintenance: 1.62 percent; Health: 23.99 percent; Recreation, sports, and culture: 1.89 percent; Education: 1.68 percent; Food and beverage/restaurant services: 2.25 percent; Personal care and other services: 3.63 percent. Meanwhile, declines were observed in the indices for: Transportation: -1.46 percent; Information, communication, and financial services: -0.72 percent.
The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate for December 2024 was 0.17 percent, and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate stood at 2.69 percent.
