Abstract

Kalimantan Timurinflation in March was 0.03 percent, or there was an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 150.15 in February 2007 to 150.20 in March 2007. With this inflation rate, the inflation rate for calendar year 2007 ( February-March 2007) Kalimantan Timur has reached 1.30 percent and the 'year on year' inflation rate (March 2007 to March 2006) has reached 5.37 percent.

Samarinda City experienced deflation of -0.14 percent and Balikpapan City experienced inflation of 0.24 percent. Thus for these two cities the inflation rate for calendar year 2007 (February-March) has reached 1.72 and 0.81, respectively.
