Abstract

This December, Kota Samarinda and Tarakan experienced inflation of 0.20 and 1.68 percent respectively. While the City of Balikpapan experienced a deflation of 0.41 percent. Thus for the three cities the inflation rate for calendar year 2008 (January-December) and the year on year inflation rate are: Samarinda 12.69 percent; Balikpapan 11.30 percent and Tarakan 19.85 percent.
