Abstract

Kalimantan Timur in September 2009 experienced inflation of 1.05 percent, or an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 119.63 in July 2009 to 120.68 in September 2009. With this inflation rate, inflation for calendar year 2009 (Jaruari-September 2009) Kalimantan Timur has reached 3.65 percent and inflation 'year on year' (September 2009 to September 2008) reached 3.90 percent.
Samarinda, Balikpapan and Tarakan in September experienced inflation of 1.20 each; 0.70 and 1.53 percent, thus for these three cities inflation in calendar year 2009 (January-September) has reached 3.76; 2.89 and 5.47 percent. The year on year inflation forecast (September 2008-September 2009) reached 3.69; 3.30; and 6.33 percent.
