Abstract

Kalimantan Timur in April 201 2 experienced inflation of 0.02 percent, or an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 141.73 in March 2011 to 141.76 in April 2012. So that until April 2012 inflation is calendar year 2012 reached 2.15 percent, while year on year inflation in Kalimantan Timur reached 5.45 percent.

If broken down by city, in April 2012 Samarinda and Tarakan experienced deflation of -0.25 percent and -0.51 percent respectively while Balikpapan experienced inflation of 0.53 percent. So that the calendar year inflation of Kota Samarinda reached 1.87 percent, Balikpapan City 2.66 percent and Tarakan City 1.65 percent, and year on year inflation of each city was 4.9 percent; 6.26 percent; and 5.07 percent.
