Abstract

Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) in East Kalimantan in quarter IV-2013 was 112.29, which means that the economic condition of consumers improved compared to the previous quarter. This increase was driven by increased income and less influence of inflation on daily food consumption by consumers.

ITK value in the first quarter of 2014 is estimated at 109.09, which can be interpreted that the economic condition of consumers will be better compared to Quarter IV-2013. However, the level of consumer optimism is expected to fall 3.20 points compared to the fourth quarter of 2013.
