Abstract

The East Kalimantan Economic Quarter I-2016 measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices reached Rp 116.1 trillion and GRDP at constant 2010 prices reached Rp 107.2 trillion.
The economic performance of Kalimantan Timur in the first quarter of 2016 contracted by negative 1.61 percent compared to the previous quarter (y-on-y). From the production side, it is influenced by the decrease of Mining and Quarrying Field field is negative 6.52 percent and Construction is negative 4.22 percent. While the expenditure side is influenced by Foreign Correction Exports corrected by negative 10.97 percent.
The economy of East Kalimantan in quarter I-2016 also decreased by negative 4.38 percent compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q). In terms of production, one of them is caused by the decreasing of dominant Business Field, namely Mining and Quarrying which is corrected by negative 5.25 percent. In addition, there is a tendency of declining / slowing growth rate almost in all business fields. In terms of expenditure is influenced by the component of Government Consumption Expenditure experienced a significant correction of negative 73.26 percent.
