Human Development Index (HDI) of Kalimantan Timur Province, 2015

Human development in the province of Kalimantan Timur in 2015 continues to progress marked by the increasing Human Development Index (HDI) of Kalimantan Timur Province. By 2015, Kalimantan Timur Provincial HDI has reached 74.17. This figure increased by 0.35 points compared with the HDI of Kalimantan Timur Province in 2014 which amounted to 73.82.

By 2015, human development in Kalimantan Timur province is "high", still the same as its status in 2014. Kalimantan Timur's HDI in 2015 grew by 0.48 percent compared to 2014

During the period 2014 to 2015, the components of the HDI also increased. Newborns have an opportunity to live up to 73.65 years, an increase of 0.03 years over the previous year. Children aged 7 years have an opportunity to attend school for 13.18 years, increased by 0.016 years compared to 2014. Meanwhile, the population aged 25 years and over on average have been educated for 9.15 years, an increase of 0.11 years compared to the previous year. Per capita spending adjusted (constant 2012 prices) of the community has reached 11.23 million rupiah in 2015, an increase of 210 thousand rupiah compared to the previous year.
