Abstract

The economic condition of consumers in Kalimantan Timur Province in quarter III-2017 increased as indicated by the increase in the value of the Consumer Tendency Index to 105.69.
The improvement in the consumer economic condition in quarter III-2017 was due to an increase in all components of the index, namely the increase in income and consumption of goods / services, and not influential inflation to the level of consumption. There was a decrease in the level of consumer optimism by 0.99 points compared to the previous quarter.
The value of ITK of Kalimantan Timur Province in quarter IV-2017 is estimated at 96.89. Components of consumer income are expected to increase, while there is a significant downward trend for long-term purchasing of goods, so in aggregate the value of ITK IV-2017 is estimated to be below 100.
