December 2017, inflation stood at 1.02 percent in Kalimantan Timur Province

Abstract

Out of 82 national CPI monitoring cities, all cities experienced inflation in December 2017. The highest inflation occurred in Jayapura at 2.28 percent and the lowest inflation occurred in Sorong at 0.18 percent.
Kalimantan Timur Province (Combined Samarinda Municipality and Balikpapan Municipality) in December 2017 occurred Inflation of 1.02 percent with inflation rate calendar year and Year-on-year Inflation rate of 3.15 percent.
In December 2017 there was inflation 0.73 percent in Samarinda Municipality and Inflation 1.41 percent in Balikpapan Municipality.
Inflation in Kalimantan Timur was influenced by the increase of food price index by 2.78 percent, transportation and communication 2.14 percent, clothing by 0.51 percent, food, beverage, cigarette and tobacco group by 0.32 percent , health group 0.16 percent, housing, water, electriMunicipality, gas and fuel group by 0.08 percent and education, recreation and sports group and 0.07 percent respectively.
