During June 2018, inflation stood at 0.82 percent in Kalimantan Timur

Abstract

Out of 82 national CPI monitoring cities, all experienced inflation in June 2018. The highest inflation occurred in Tarakan Municipality of 2.71 percent and the lowest inflation in Medan and Pekanbaru respectively by 0.01 percent.
Kalimantan Timur Province (Combined Samarinda Municipality and Balikpapan Municipality) in June 2018 occurred Inflation of 0.82 percent with a calendar year inflation rate of 2.10 percent and Year-on-year Inflation rate of 2.60 percent.
In June 2018 there was inflation 0.46 percent in Samarinda and 1.30 percent in Balikpapan Municipality.
Inflation in Kalimantan Timur was influenced by an increase in the food price index by 2.32 percent, followed by transportation and communications by 1.29 percent, health group by 0.66 percent, followed by food, beverage, cigarette and tobacco 0.42 percent, the clothing category experienced inflation of 0.09 percent respectively, the housing, water, electriMunicipality, gas and fuel group by 0.01 percent, and the education, recreation and sports groups experienced stable inflation by 0.00 pesen.
