Abstract

Kalimantan Timur Province (Combined Samarinda Municipality and Balikpapan Municipality) in May 2018 occurred Inflation of 0.37 percent with inflation rate calendar year of 1.27 percent and Year-on-year Inflation rate of 2.77 percent.
In May 2018 there was inflation 0.38 percent in Samarinda and 0.35 percent in Balikpapan Municipality.
Inflation in Kalimantan Timur was influenced by the increase of food price index by 1.09 percent, followed by health group by 0.36 percent, then housing, water, electriMunicipality, gas and fuel by 0.23 percent, , beverages, cigarettes and tobacco and clothing group experienced inflation of 0.18 percent respectively, education, recreation and sports group experienced inflation of 0.15 pesen and transportation and communication group by 0.13 percent.
