Abstract

The percentage of poor people in March 2022 was 6.31 percent, an increase of 0.04 percentage points against September 2021 and a decrease of 0.23 percentage points against March 2021.
The number of poor people in March 2022 was 236.25 thousand people, an increase of 3.12 thousand people from September 2021 and a decrease of 5.52 thousand people from March 2021.
The percentage of the urban poor in March 2022 was 4.80 percent, up from 4.74 percent in September 2021. Meanwhile, the percentage of the rural poor in March 2022 was 9.64 percent, up from 9.63 percent in September 2021.
Compared to September 2021, the number of urban poor in March 2022 rose by 2.31 thousand people (from 121.28 thousand people in September 2021 to 123.59 thousand people in March 2022). Meanwhile, in the same period the number of rural poor people increased by 0.81 thousand people (from 111.85 thousand people in September 2021 to 112.66 thousand people in March 2022).
The Poverty Line in March 2022 was recorded at Rp728,208,-/capita/month with the composition of the Food Poverty Line of Rp513,874,- (70.57 percent) and the Non-Food Poverty Line of Rp214,334,- (29.43 percent ).
In March 2022, the average poor household in Kalimantan Timur Province had 5.31 household members. Thus, the size of the Poverty Line per poor household on average is Rp.3,866.784,-/poor household/month.
