Abstract

The percentage of poor people in March 2023 was 6.11 percent, a decrease of 0.33 percentage points from September 2022 and a decrease of 0.20 percentage points from March 2022.
The number of poor people in March 2023 was 231.07 thousand people, a decrease of 11.23 thousand people compared to September 2022 and a decrease of 5.18 thousand people compared to March 2022.
The percentage of urban poor population in March 2023 was 4.68 percent, down from 4.97 percent in September 2022. Meanwhile the percentage of rural poor population in March 2023 was 9.28 percent, down from September 2022 which was 9.71 percent.
Compared to September 2022, the number of urban poor people in March 2023 decreased by 6.55 thousand people (from 128.98 thousand people in September 2022 to 122.43 thousand people in March 2023). Meanwhile, during the same period, the number of poor people in rural areas decreased by 4.68 thousand people (from 113.32 thousand people in September 2022 to 108.64 thousand people in March 2023).
The Poverty Line in March 2023 was recorded at Rp 790.186/capita/month with a composition of the Food Poverty Line of Rp 560,368 (70.92 percent) and the Non-Food Poverty Line of Rp 229,818 (29.08 percent).
In March 2023, on average, poor households in Kalimantan Timur Province had 5.13 household members. Thus, the average poverty line per poor household is IDR 4,053,654/poor household/month.
