Abstract

The economy of Kalimantan Timur Province in Quarter II-2022 based on the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) at current prices reached Rp230.13 trillion and at constant prices in 2010 reached Rp124.48 trillion.
The economy of Kalimantan Timur Province in Quarter II-2022 compared to Quarter II-2021 experienced a growth of 3.03 percent (y-on-y). In terms of production, the Transportation and Warehousing Business Field experienced the highest growth, amounting to 10.38 percent. From the expenditure side, the Gross Domestic Fixed Capital Formation Component experienced the highest growth of 2.74 percent.
The economy of Kalimantan Timur Province in Quarter II-2022 compared to the previous quarter grew by 3.03 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the highest growth q-to-q in Quarter II-2022 was achieved by the Government Administration, Defense and Mandatory Social Security Business Fields which grew by 8.32 percent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the highest growth occurred in the Government Consumption Expenditure Component of 51.15 percent.
The economy of Kalimantan Timur in Semester I-2022 compared to Semester I-2021 grew by 2.48 percent (c-to-c).
Positive economic growth in Quarter II-2022 (y-on-y) occurred in all provinces on the island of Kalimantan. The province of Kalimantan Timur provides the largest contribution to the GRDP of the island of Kalimantan, reaching 53.47 percent.
