Abstract

Economy of Kalimantan Timur Province Quarter II-2018 as measured by the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices reached Rp 156.60 trillion and on the basis of constant 2010 prices reached Rp 114.95 trillion.
Kalimantan Timur's economic performance in Quarter II-2018 towards Quarter II-2017 grew by 1.84 percent (y-on-y). In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Business Field of Supply of Accommodation and Drinking Food by 12.13 percent. Whereas in terms of expenditure the highest growth occurred in the Net Component of Inter-Regional Exports of 12.10 percent.
When compared to the previous quarter, Kalimantan Timur's economic performance in Quarter II-2018 grew by 0.11 percent (q-to-q), slightly lower than the previous quarter which grew by 0.66 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth q-to-q was achieved by the Mandatory Business Administration, Defense and Social Security Business Fields which grew by 7.15 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth occurred in the Government Consumption Expenditure Component of 46.11 percent.
Cumulatively, Kalimantan Timur's economic growth in Semester I-2018 compared to Semester I-2017 grew by 1.81 percent (c-to-c).
