Abstract

The labor force in August 2022 was 113,878 people, an increase of 1,272 people compared to August 2021. Conversely, the Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) decreased by 0.58 percentage points from 65.55 percent in August 2021 to 64.97 percent in August 2022.
Over the past year, the number of unemployed decreased by 842 people, with the unemployment rate (TPT) dropping from 5.82 percent in August 2021 to 5.02 percent in August 2022. The number of employed people was 108,163, an increase of 2,114 compared to the conditions in August 2021.
There were 4,820 people affected by COVID-19, or 2.75 percent of the population. This group includes 346 people unemployed due to COVID-19, none who became non-labor force due to COVID-19, 336 people not working due to COVID-19, and 4,138 people who experienced reduced working hours due to COVID-19.
