Abstract

The number of labor force based on the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) in Berau Regency in August 2023 was 129.56 thousand people, an increase of 15.68 thousand people compared to August 2022. The Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) increased by 1.93 percentage points. The open unemployment rate (TPT) in Berau Regency in August 2023 was 4.95 percent, down 0.07 percentage points compared to August 2022. The working population in Berau Regency was 123.15 thousand people, an increase of 14.99 thousand people from August 2022. The job opportunities that absorb more workers are in the services category (57.26 thousand people). A total of 58.18 thousand people (47.24 percent) worked in informal activities, an increase of 4.52 percentage points compared to August 2022
