Economic Growth of Berau Regency by Industry in 2022

Abstract

- The economy of Berau Regency in 2022, measured by the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices, reached Rp 60.16 trillion, and at constant 2010 prices, it was Rp 29.94 trillion.
The economy of Berau Regency grew by 3.95 percent in 2022, slowing down compared to the 5.36 percent growth achieved in 2021.
All sectors in Berau Regency experienced positive growth in 2022. Among the 17 sectors, the financial and insurance sectors recorded the highest growth at 8.53 percent.
In terms of production structure, the economy of Berau Regency in 2022 is still dominated by the mining and quarrying sector, agriculture, forestry and fisheries, and the wholesale and retail trade sector; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles.
Positive economic growth in 2022 occurred in all districts/cities in East Kalimantan Province. Berau Regency contributed only 6.53 percent to the total economy of districts/cities in East Kalimantan Province.
